We bring the clean to you

A quick look at how Hero Mobility Clean washes and sanitizes wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment right at your location.

How it works

Automated cleaning in your parking lot

We bring a commercial automated wheelchair washer inside our enclosed mobile unit, parked in your designated service area. Your team brings items out, we roll them up our ramp into the unit, and each one runs through a wash cycle in just a few minutes.

We park in your designated service area in the parking lot and check in with your contact.

Stage equipment

Your team brings items out to the service area. We tag each one by resident or unit.

Wash & sanitize

We roll each item up our ramp into our enclosed mobile unit for an automated wash and sanitize cycle, a final rinse with deionized water, and a spot free dry finish.

Tag & return

Items get a dated service tag and go straight back to your staff.

  • Self contained: our own water, power, and sealed waste collection
  • Professional grade sanitizer, applied the same way every time
  • Quiet operation designed for resident friendly campuses
  • No pulling staff away from residents and patients
Why it matters

Why clean and sanitize your DME?

Shared wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters touch many hands every day. A professional clean protects the people who use them.

1

Reduce the spread of germs

Armrests and handgrips carry bacteria and viruses between residents, patients, and staff.

2

Protect your residents

Clean equipment supports safer care, fewer infection concerns, and a better experience for families.

3

Make equipment last longer

Removing grime, spills, and buildup helps keep moving parts and wheels in working shape.

4

Stay ready for the next user

Equipment that is cleaned and sanitized between uses is ready for rental, return, or reassignment.

What a professional clean covers

  1. Inspect the equipment and note any damage.
  2. Wash away dirt and debris from the frame and wheels.
  3. Sanitize every high touch surface.
  4. Rinse with deionized water and dry for a spot free finish, then check that everything moves freely.
  5. Document the clean so you have proof it was done.
Inspection ready

Inspection ready, every day

Infection control is one of the most frequently reviewed areas in long term care. Clean shared equipment is one important part of a strong program.

8 in 10

of U.S. nursing homes have been cited for an infection prevention and control deficiency in recent CMS inspection data (as of May 2026).

Cleaned on a regular schedule

Equipment is washed and sanitized on a routine, not in a last minute rush.

Dated service tags

Every item shows the date it was serviced, so your team can see at a glance.

A service log for your files

A written record of what was cleaned and when, ready for your team to keep on file.

We support your infection control program. We do not replace your facility’s own policies or guarantee survey results.

Questions

Common questions

How long does a visit take?

Setup is quick, and each item runs through a cycle of a few minutes. During the day, most visits take about 2 to 4 hours depending on the number of items. We also offer a flexible overnight schedule, so cleaning can happen while residents sleep.

Do you need our water or power?

No. Our mobile unit carries its own water, power, and waste collection, so we do not use your utilities.

Is it loud?

The equipment runs inside an enclosed unit to keep noise down. We are happy to set up away from resident areas.

What can you clean?

Wheelchairs, walkers and rollators, 3-in-1's, shower chairs, and other reusable equipment. Ask about anything specific.

What about motorized chairs?

Tell us what you have when you request a quote and we will confirm what we can safely clean.
